• Supported independent living (SIL): Supported independent living is one type of support to help you live in your home. It includes help or supervision with daily tasks, like personal care or cooking meals. It helps you live as independently as possible, while building your skills. Supported independent living is for people with higher support needs, who need some level of help at home all the time.

  • Individualised Living Options (ILO): The individualised living option supports you use will depend on your choices. This includes choices about where you live, who you live with and how you want to be supported. This can include things like personal care, help to build your skills, or support with household tasks like shopping or cooking. Family, friends and other networks can complement your paid supports.

  • Respite: Respite care supports you and your carer by giving you both a break for a short period of time. It can help give you and your carer the time and space to do things independently. Respite can be accessed in your home, out in the community, or in our supported accommodation. Respite care can be planned in advance; for instance, if your carer is planning a trip or has an appointment to attend. It is also available in emergencies – if your carer has an unplanned hospital stay, for example.
